Establishing your goals
In order to come up with a suitable learning plan, we will need to assess your current level.
A short online placement test will determine your background knowledge of the language.
An oral interview in English will give your Tutor an idea of your current ability to express yourself and communicate.
Deciding on an action plan
After an initial evaluation of your current language skills in English, a suitable coursebook will be selected.
The learning resources will be suited to your individual objectives - whether it is to improve a certain skill, vocabulary or functional language in a specific area.
The coursebook and materials could be both digital and in paper format, depending on preferences.
Depending on your individual case, we will be using a coursebook, worksheets, Internet materials.
However, a coursebook is only there to serve as a guide providing us with structure and making sure all aspects of the language are covered.
We will make sure our activities are focused on the points most relevant to your situation or the skill you need most practice with.
Main Focus on Speaking
Our primary goal will be to help you improve the most important skill - SPEAKING!
You will have plenty of opportunity to practice speaking, using the language you have been introduced to and applying it to your individual context, through a variety of speaking activities.
After all, we learn languages in order to be able to communicate, not to solve grammar questions and tests!
